Folksong & cultural heritage programme

The previous months I’ve been working on educational workshops that teach primary school-children about their cultural heritage, specifically the folksongs, as well as a bit of Bulgarian songs. The first reactions are very good, children are exited to sing the songs and to get moving to irregular balkan beats! I’ve developed it for Foundation Pauni Trio and will be teaching many workshops to primary school-children this and the next month.  The foundation Pauni Trio will further develop this programme, including online educational material, audio and video. This educational material will support teachers and children to sing a selection of Dutch and Bulgarian folksongs. (The picture is of my antique backpack and Bulgarian walking-stick).
